Making a complaint
Complaints - General Information
Lothian and Borders Police Board is committed to ensuring that the best possible policing service is delivered throughout the Lothian and Borders area. If you are unhappy about the service you have received from the police, a police officer, an elected member or a member of staff of the Police Board, then you can make a formal complaint.
Lothian and Borders Police Board, Lothian and Borders Police Force and the Police Complaints Commissioner for Scotland (PCCS) all have a role to play in ensuring complaints are dealt with fairly and appropriately.
The information in this section is designed to help you understand who is responsible for dealing with complaints about the police and to help direct you to the correct organisation.
