Making a Deputation at the Police Board, its Committees and Sub-Committees

How to Make a Deputation to the Police Board

A deputation allows members of the public to speak directly to the Police Board or one of its Committees or Sub-Committees.

A deputation must be made in writing or by email, explain the subject of the deputation and be signed by a representative of the group or organisation wishing to be heard. The deputation request should be sent no later than one working day before the meeting.

An organisation or a person presenting a petition can make a deputation. The rules governing deputations are set out in the Police Board's Standing Orders at Standing Order 35.
