How to Attend Board Meetings
Public Particpation at Meetings
Members of the public are welcome to attend meetings of the Police Board and its various Committees and Sub-Committees, except where confidential business is being discussed.
Where the Police Board Meets
Meetings of the full Police Board take place in each of the constituent Council areas. Its Committees and Sub-Committees usually meet in Edinburgh at either the City Chambers or Police Headquarters. Find out more about Police Board venues.
When the Police Board Meets
There are meetings of the Police Board, its Committees and Sub-Committees throughout the year and meetings usually take place on Mondays. Meeting dates are listed under the information for each Committee and Sub-Committee. It is also possible to search for meeting dates using our events calender. The Public Notice of Meetings lists meetings due to take place in the forthcoming week.
Speaking at Meetings
The public does not have an automatic right to speak at Police Board meetings but members of the public can make a deputation which allows them to speak directly to the Police Board or one of its Committees or Sub-Committees.
